Co-Founder & President · Stryder Transportation & Temecula Limos

The instinct behind the experience

Kim Kelliher co-founded Stryder Transportation with her husband John in 2002 and serves as its president. What began as a Temecula Valley transportation company grew into the region’s most decorated transit family: a 30-vehicle fleet providing executive and group transportation across Southern California, and the sister brand Grapeline Wine Tours, now one of California’s most respected wine-tourism companies serving more than 25,000 guests a year.

Before founding the company, Kim worked as a political journalist in Washington, D.C., then as Special Events Manager at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula. That inside view of the valley’s potential led to the idea that launched everything: pivot from airport shuttles to guided wine tours. It is the same instinct that still shapes how Temecula Limos designs an experience, not just a ride.

Kim is deeply woven into the Temecula Valley business community. She served as Chairman of the Board of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and was named Temecula’s Citizen of the Year in 2009.

She also sets the standard for who joins the team. Her hiring philosophy is simple, and it is the reason guests so often praise the people as much as the vehicles: hire for attitude first, teach the skills second.

Kim and John have been married for 34 years and raised three sons in Temecula, where they still live.

In Her Words

The people make the ride

A spotless party bus and a flawless route matter, but Kim will tell you the thing guests actually remember is how they were treated. That is a hiring decision long before it is a service one, and it is the standard she has held since day one.

“Skills can be taught. We hire for attitude: humble, helpful, and joyful.”
